Tourist Numbers down: Time to visit the Masai Mara

KENYAN Tourism Board (KTB) director, Dr Ongong'a Achieng, has reported a 36% drop in tourism arrivals from land and sea for the first six months of this year in comparison to 2007.

“Election skirmishes” that in turn caused large revenue losses for the tourism sector in the country were offered as causes reasons for the drastic drop in arrivals. Achieng added that tourists numbers had dropped to 561 313 people for the period this year as opposed to last years 873 433.

We feel that the above comments mean that it is a great time to visit the Masai Mara. There are less tourist in the Reserve giving you more exclusive access to the migration.
